Tales From The Bus Route
The Strange Seat Corner

One Sunday morning a bus rider noticed something strange in the corner of the seat — a sticky substance that hadn’t been there the week before. Another bus rider observed the substance in curiosity.
When they touched it, something unexpected happened… (Brother Steve)
It started to get stuck to their hands and it would not come off for a long time and there was no sink on the bus so it got all over the place (Allison C.)
The bus Captain turned into a monster and then the next day he goes on the church bus to start picking up kids and the kids thought something was off then something really really not good, and after a couple miles the bus Captain's skin got irritated. (Seira M.)
Brother Steve (the bus captain) looked at his skin and saw a green sticky goo as the cause of the skin irritation. He didn't think much about it. He thought it was those silly kids playing with their slime like they do all the time on the bus. Well, at least this slime didn't have glitter in it. He chuckled and flicked the sticky goo off his arm. He didn't realize there was some on his hand and he did the unthinkable... he touched the top of his head and some of the sticky substance clung to his bald spot and began to spread. (Brother Steve)
Then the sticky substance started to form a mouth. After the mouth, a full pair of lungs formed. The mouth started to sing one of our church songs. (Crystal D.)
The rest of the foam started to sing together to praise God. (Destiny H.)
We could have had some popcorn with the songs because it took about an hour or two. (Allison C.)
Then all of a sudden, the goop started to divide into smaller goops until there were hundreds and hundreds of them! They started to take over the bus and drove us to... the park?! As we look around, we see all of the buses are at the park as well. Apparently, the goops were angry that we couldn't go to the park last week. They wanted to praise God and play at the same time!! (Caitlynn B.)
Over a few days, the slimes built a stage and bought a mic. They put up fliers all around Iowa to spread the word...but the word of what?? Wednesday afternoon, thousands of Iowa citizens were at the park, including the governor! The main slime then started speaking. " Hello, my name is Quipp. I was sent to you by our Lord Jesus!" (Caitlynn B.)
Whispers started flourishing amongst the crowd. "Is it an alien... Quipp??... How does it know English?..."
"John 15:12 states 'Love each other as I have loved you.' So please, I ask, give me a chance..." (Caitlynn B.)
"Every week, I've been in the seat corner listening about how Jesus loves you in the songs and in the quiet game. Wow! To think that Jesus loves you all that much to give his life... is awesome! I guess God just wanted to create me for this little time to praise His name. The Bible says that if a multitude would be kept from praising God, that even the stones would cry out in praise. So, here I am giving praise to God today!" (Brother Steve)
